Displacement’ is a visual investigation of architectural
constructs built by transnational companies that can be
rather categorized as ’Zones of Exclusion and Exploitation’
– places where a life is no longer possible or gets
complicated by social conflicts, economic destabilization
or natural disaster. Areas like Chernobyl or Fukushima
could be named but also unknown oil platforms
in North Africa, gold mines in South America, palm oil
plantations in Asia or Trump’s wall at the borders to Mexico.
This dystopian places emphasize accumulation of
power that forces man to adapt to and act according to
its conditions. International human rights lose their meanings
and this destabilizing effects force ividividuals to
immigration. The material shown is aerial photographs
of a drone. Since our eyes can not overlook the extent of such large investments, we have to resort to technological
means to perceive the environment differently
(from above).
